San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge
Early Bird Entry Deadline: November 15, 2024
Entry Deadline: January 31, 2025
Product Delivery: January 17, 2025
Judging: January 25, 2025-January 26, 2025

Here's How It Works

Eligibility: All Spirits must be commercially available for sale to be eligible.

Limits: There is no limit to the number of entries per producer. No Spirit may be entered in more than one (1) class.

Tips When Registering: Register each spirit under the correct distillery name. Check your distillery's name spelling/completeness. Review your entry cart before you complete the registration transaction to assure that you have entered the correct type and category for each distillery/Spirit.

Competition Rules:

  • Judging will be based on the style of Spirit per category. Categories may be consolidated, added or divided if entries warrant.
  • Spirits will be judged in the category in which they were entered, unless the Director determines it to be more appropriate in another category and may transfer if necessary.
  • The decisions of the judges are final.
  • Entry processing fees are non-refundable.
  • Spirits Entry: Spirits entries are comprised of one (1) 750 ml or 700 ml bottles or two (2) 500 ml bottles or four (4) single-serve RTDs. If your item is finished with natural cork there is a chance of TCA contamination, so if you prefer you may send a second bottle of natural cork finished bottles so that we will have an alternate in the event of TCA contamination.

Package DesignYou may opt to include your entry in the package design judging for an additional fee - select yes or no for each spirit entered. Please send an additional bottle (or can) of anything entered into the package design judging.

Spirit Delivery/Shipping: When shipping product, remember to include a copy of your online entry receipt.
